Baseline Documentation Reports

Before a Conservation Easement can be implemented on a piece of land, a Baseline Documentation Report (BDR) must be completed to document conditions on the ground at the time the Conservation Easement was implemented. The BDR will be used as a reference document each year for monitoring of the Conservation Easement as a Conservation Easement is implemented into perpetuity.

 

Conservation Easement Monitoring

Two Springs completed monitoring on a complex Conservation Easement where it was more efficient for the client to contract the services to Two Springs. Two Springs provided professional services and interacted with the land managers to complete the easement monitoring and provide a professional document that satisfied all parties.

 

Environmental Site Assessment Mapping

Several local, small consulting firms have contracted with Two Springs to provide mapping for Environmental Site Assessments. Half a dozen sites have been mapped in the second half of 2009.

 

 


 

Field GPS Data Collection

Two Springs personnel have both personally collected field GPS data, along with providing professional services to local governments and special purpose districts to guide their field data collection projects.

 

Recent work has also included two dam assessments where Two Springs personnel collected field GPS data, measurements, soil samples and assisted with other field activities. In addition, a thirteen mile abandoned railroad bed between Greenville and Travelers Rest, South Carolina was mapped with mobile GPS and desktop GIS software.

Personnel have provided inventory mapping, data base compilation and management, data distribution, training and consulting for several sanitary sewer and storm sewer system districts. Steve Springs can either co

Conservation Planning

Conservation Planning services were provided on several properties during 2009. Often a few small actions can yield large conservation rewards. Two Springs provided field guide services, GPS and GIS mapping, along with environmental planning services for our environmental, non-profit clients.

GIS to CAD Data Conversion

Steve Springs provided GIS to CAD data conversion for a local recreation provider. Often, site design professionals, engineers and architects prefer to design their projects in CAD. Two Springs can easily convert its

 

Map Book Generation

GIS can exist on both a computer, and also on paper maps. Sometimes Two Springs clients wish to deploy a fully digital GIS field solution, while others wish for both economic and utilitarian reasons to distribute Map Books for use by field crews. Two Springs utilizes several approaches to create Map Books depending on our client’s needs. From fully customizable solutions to nearly 95% automated solutions, Two Springs can design a solution to meet any needs.

 

Mapping for a Nationally Distributed Magazine

Two Springs has provided several maps in 2009 depicting vehicle-based overland, expedition routes for a nationally distributed magazine. These maps were tailored for specific audiences and to match the 'feel' of the articles. Various data sources were supplied by the magazine editor which were converted into GIS files for mapping.

Property Interest Mapping

As complicated as GIS and GPS can get, sometimes you only need a basic map of your property. Two Springs provided basic property mapping for several interests in 2009.

 

Property/Site Management and Oversight

Two Springs provides property and site management and oversight services for our clients who require an experienced and responsible company to oversee security and management of sites. Steve Springs can provide varying levels of oversight to your site from daily to monthly visits. Two Springs can tailor a site management plan to meet your needs but typically will make general observations as to security, potential liabilities, trespassing and other issues while recording these in note, GPS and picture format for reporting back to the client.

 

On-Call GIS and GPS Services

Several Two Springs clients contact to Two Springs to provide on-call and as-needed GIS and GPS services. Two Springs personnel provide anywhere from days of consulting services at a time to only a few minutes – whatever is needed to function as a part of your team.
