Regional Planning
Regional Planning involves both short and long-term projects that look at land use in a regional scale, often across a county or multi county area. Land use can encompass types of land use (commercial, industrial, residential, etc) population distribution and growth, conservation, transportation, economics and social issues.
Environmental Planning
Environmental Planning takes Regional Planning principles and techniques and focuses on the environmental aspect. Environmental Planning is associated with Conservation Planning where a region’s environmental, greenspace, and resource stewardship are managed on a larger scale than an individual tract of land. Environmental planning deals with air, land and water (sometimes collectively) and often focuses on sustainable development, expansion and use of resources. By developing sustainably, an area or government at the same time can efficiently manage its resources, reduce its impact on the environment, and lower costs to provide services – thereby lowering the need for expanded taxes.

Greenspace and Parks Planning
Two Springs has worked with several parks and recreation providers, municipalities, non-profits and environmental groups on greenspace and park planning projects. Many of today’s parks are much larger than a little ‘pocket park’ with a few swing sets. Some of today’s parks encompass vast areas with diverse passive recreation (hiking, biking, walking/running and team sports) opportunities which require master planning to effectively utilize resources.
City Planning City Planning, sometimes called Urban Planning in more developed and urban areas, deals with a higher density of land use but the same principles utilized in regional planning. Again, effective use of resources, land uses, and transportation networks can aid in prosperity and expansion of an urban area while minimizing taxation and inefficiencies.
